Under 19 Squad
Kurt Rogers
A local lad, now in his second season with the club after singing from local rivals Aberaman. Has the Potential to be a great keeper, started the season in fine form and will only get better.
Jarryd Parry
Rejoined the club this season to play for the Youth team after playing nearly all his junior football at Cwmaman . Good reader of the game and organiser can play Centre half or full back. A committed player with a good attitude and I’m sure as he continues to develop he will feature prominently for the 1st team.
Kyle Lowther
Had an excellent season last year and almost won player of the year, plays centre half a very consistent performer who rarely has a bad game. Appearances will be limited this season because he’s away in Swansea University, but will be a valued member of the squad when available.
Jack Howe
A regular in the first team , but still gives 100% for the youth team on a Sunday, very consistent has a great left peg, can play left back , centre half , or left wing with pace to burn jack has tremendous ability and has the potential to go far in the game.
Joseph Lewis
Played all his junior football at Cwmaman. Plays Right Back and has featured prominently so far this season and performed well in his first season at this level. Will get better with each game and with more self belief and confidence his game will improve no end.
David Owen
Signed this season from senior side Aberaman band club. David has shown great commitment and has a great attitude and willingness to learn and demonstrated good ability and was man of the match against Merthyr will continue to improve with each game.
Darren John
Darren has the ability to win a game on his own. He possesses two good feet, and is a good team player. One weakness would be he needs to be more vocal. Darren can play right or left wing or fill in at Fb. He’s in his final season at youth level and hopefully he will be pushing for first team football. A Special thanks must go to his father Steve for all his hard work in collecting the cons and driving the bus.
Sean Woodford
The fulcrum of the midfield and our Roy Keane, his work rate is tremendous, a ball winner and a good passer, whenever he plays well the team seems to play well. With more dedication and self belief there’s no reason why he can’t emulate his brother and play in the first team (yet).
Corey Hollidge
Signed last season from Aberaman a strong midfield player with good feet and vision to pick a pass, Will chip in with the odd goal. Corey can have a big impact this season and with the right attitude he too could push for first team football.
Richard Williams
In his second season with the club, a gifted midfield player, has great vision and ability to pass the ball. A regular in the first team but also very committed and integral part of the youth team
Daniel Johnson
Has great commitment, very versatile can play in several positions. Has a great future with the club. Titch is captain of the youth team he leads by example and is our Wayne Rooney.
Ross Leeke
A player with lots of ability can play in several positions and will play for the club for many years to come. Ross has a great attitude and very committed player who always gives 100%. Possesses good technical ability and has an eye for goal scoring some screamers.
James Jones
James is another player who come from the under 16’s he has shown great potential so far this season scoring 2 goals on his debut. He has good technical ability and works tirelessly for the team never stops running like a Duracell bunny. He has a 1st class attitude and as he continues to work hard I’ve no doubt he will develop into a very good player.
Krystian Boyce
Like Jack he also has pace to burn. Krystian has the ability to terrify opponents with his pace and can be a match winner on his day can play on both wings or as a striker.
Solomon Mapfuti
Signed with David Owen from Aberaman Band club, Solomon also has a great attitude. A skilful player who likes to run and commit defenders who plays right wing, and the more games he plays I’m sure he will be a great asset to the squad.
Ryan Oliver
Signed this season from Llwydcoed, Ryan holds the ball up well and has good skill, unfortunately Ryan is currently out with a bad injury he suffered on his debut against Pontypridd.
Craig Mallet
Was with the Merthyr Academy last season but missed a lot of the season through illness. A left sided player with lots of pace.
Connor Wickham
A Welsh under 16 International released by Cardiff City last season, played all his junior football for Cwmaman. A striker or midfield player has lots of quality.
