Player Profiles for the 2010 - 2011 Season

Kurt Rogers

A resident of Cwmaman but signed last year from local rivals ENTO Aberaman. Kurt is only 18 but has tremendous potential to be a great goalkeeper, he is over 6ft tall and very agile.

Jonathan Truelove

Has returned to the club after a season with Treforest. A good shot stopper with lots of experience, gives the defence a solid base and the club are very pleased he has rejoined us.

 David Airey

Played all his football at Cwmaman, from juniors through to seniors. A striker who will always get you goals, has a tremendous work rate and a player who gives his all for Cwmaman.

 Leighton Price

Player-manager, in his 5th season in the role.  A wealth of experience at Amateur League and Welsh League level .Was a major influence in keeping Cwmaman in the Welsh League last season.  A product of Cwmaman’s youth set up who has also played for ENTO Aberaman.

 Scott Woodford  

A local lad who joined the club 3 seasons ago to play for our Youth team, has great presence, very pacey and strong in the air. Only 19 but can be a great asset to the team, can play central defence or full back.

Jack Howe

Another player to come up through the junior teams, Jack has tremendous ability and will go a long way. Has great pace, can play in several positions and has a wonderful left foot.

Ryan Woods

Has joined the club as a defender, lives in Bargoed. Previous clubs were Taffs Well and Aberaman, A young man who will develop into a very good player.

Seb Haggett

Joined us after playing for Penrhiwceiber and Llwydcoed in the Welsh League. A striker or midfield player who will score goals. Lots of ability on the ball and will be a big asset to the club.

Connor Wickham

A Welsh under 16 International released by Cardiff City last season, played all his junior football for Cwmaman. A striker or midfield player has lots of quality.

Ross Leeke

Another product of the clubs youth policy, a player with lots of ability, can play in several positions will play for the club for many years to come.

Carl Jenkins

Carl previously played for Llwydcoed, Neath with whom he won Welsh League Division 1, playing for them in Welsh Premier, then he played for Aberaman, Bridgend Town, also a short spell here at Cwmaman, a bundle of energy whose engine never stops, also chips in with a fair amount of goals from midfield, he will be a massive influence to our side. The Squad's Captain this Season.

Jarrod Price

Jarrod comes for Aberaman, previous clubs Cwmaman Institute (Amateur League), AFC Llwydcoed, Neath Athletic where he won the Welsh League Championship and Bridgend Town.   He also represented Neath in Welsh Premier and lately Haverfordwest County. A very versatile player who can play across the centre of the park in various rolls and has also scored goals wherever he’s played. Jarrod is the brother of Jason Price the ex Swansea, Tranmere, Doncaster and now Millwall forward as well as our Manager Leighton.

Dorian Cook 

An important member of the squad, progressed from the youth team. Can play ay fullback or midfield, has a turn of speed which will trouble most defences.

Leon Bansal  

Has joined the club from Llwydcoed in the January transfer window, Leon will be a great asset to the club, can play in the midfield or fullback. Will add experience to the squad.

Gareth Jones

Gareth is from Abercynon, A defender who has returned to the Club after spells at ENTO Aberaman and Newton of the Welsh Premier League.

Ian Jones

Ian is now living in Aberaman, an experienced defender who served his apprenticeship with Cardiff City and played for Penrhiwceiber in the Welsh League. 

Lee Williams

Another defender that we welcome back to the Club after spells at Bettws and Aberaman of the Welsh League. Lee lives in Cwmdare.

Shaun Chappell

Another player that returns to the Club after time away. This time at Bridgend Town Merthyr and local side Valley Blades. Shaun plays in the middle of the park and comes from Mountain Ash.

Ryan Trowe

A very talented youngster who is still a Youth Player. Ryan previously played for Abercwmboi in the Amateur League. He can play up front or midfield.

Ian Traylor

Ian lives in Cwmaman and has a prolific goal-scoring record with his previous Clubs Hirwaun Town and Pontypridd Town of the Welsh League.

Anthony Waters

Anthony lives in Hirwaun. He is a versatile player who can play in either midfield or up front. He returns to the Club after time away at Aberaman and Bridgend Town.
